As an Indian, you will agree to the fact that movies form an integral part of your life. Going to the cinemas every weekend to catch the latest flick is not a habit but a tradition for you. Whether you go alone or with a friend or family member you enjoy watching movies like no one’s business.
While your choice of genre may be different and you might even pick one as per your mood, here are 5 movies you must definitely watch with your loved ones:
1. Kapoor & Sons (2016):
Imagine a super happy family with an ultra-cool grandfather. You would say what can go wrong in this household. But as soon as love blossoms among the trio – Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan you eagerly anticipate the outcome of this.
Fight ensues between the brothers and it takes one tragedy to get them to start talking to each other again. It’s a beautiful movie that entwines the sensitive aspects of every relationship.
2. Remember Me (2010):
This Pierce Brosnan and Robert Pattinson-starrer is a tearjerker and teaches that life lessons are certainly hardest to learn and you never know who’s going to be the instructor.
The film reminds you who you are and what you hold dear and that should be your guiding light to navigate the future. Although it doesn’t have a happy ending, the movie won’t leave your thoughts easily.
3. About A Boy (2002):
Both Hugh Grant & Nicholas Hoult are so cute that it is hard to miss the strong between the lead actors. While Nicholas is a social outcast and deals with a depressed mom, Hugh lives a luxurious life without any responsibilities. How their worlds collide and they make each other a better person is a treat to watch!
4. Life Of Pi (2012):
Imagine losing your entire family in a shipwreck. It is not possible, right? But that’s what happens to the lead here. Despite the major loss, he strives hard to get himself out of nowhere in the ocean and even befriends a tiger! The movie is a visual delight and teaches a great lesson on patience and perseverance.
5. Kal Ho Na Ho (2003):
Everyone loves Shah Rukh Khan and when he is playing the lovable Aman you know you are in for a treat! How he gets to know this troubled family and makes everything alright for them gives you ample hope and of course, leaves you in tears. It’s a must-watch!
These movies are not exactly your usual rom-coms or dramas but definitely teach everyone a thing or two about relationships, perseverance and how important it is to keep going even when the tide is high and the circumstances are pretty bad.
