2. Moderately Active Men:

Moderately active men include all those who exercise at a level correspondent to walking one and a half hour to three miles in a day. A moderately active man in the age bracket of 19 to 30 requires 2,600 to 2,800 calories in a day whereas the same man in the age range of 31 to 50 requires 2,400 to 2,600 calories in a day. A moderately active man above the age of 51 needs 2,200 to 2,400 calories in a day.

3. Active Men:

Active men include those who indulge in physical activity equivalent to a walk of more than 3 miles per day at a speed of 3 to 4 miles per hour. To maintain a healthy body weight, an active man between the age of 19 and 30 requires 3,000 calories in a day whereas the same man from the age of 31 to 50 needs 2,800 to 3,000 calories in a day. An active man above the age of 51 requires a calorie intake of 2,400 to 2,800 to maintain a healthy body weight.
