A coat and a pair of boots can only get a man so far before he gives up and decides to layer on everything that exists in his wardrobe. Just because it is cold, doesn’t mean style has to be compromised. Here are a few hacks which are useful this winter.
1.Invest in thicket fabrics :
When you think of cold-weather kit you think of The North Face, but there are more low-key ways to keep the chill away. It might sound obvious but thicker fabric will make everyday styles all the more wearable, so try trading in your thin jeans and chinos for corduroy, wool trews or thick Dickies workpants.
2.Keep your core warm with a gilet :
Not quite a coat, but basically as warm, the gilet’s dynamic design makes it a favourite among mountaineering types and fashion-week folk. Choose an appropriate thickness for your personal thermostat and wear yours over a sweatshirt on warmer days, or layered under smarter coats to warm up sharper getups.
3.Fold your sweaters instead of hanging them :
No matter the weight, the weave, or material, hanging sweaters stretches them out. It’s much better to fold sweaters and store them in your dresser or wardrobe. This keeps them crisp and ready to use for the next time and also makes sure the material doesn’t spoil.
4.Buttoning the right way :
It is okay to not button the top buttons of your jacket as it looks stylish but the middle buttons of your jacket must ALWAYS be buttoned to pull the jacket together, and the last button should NEVER be buttoned to avoid messing up of the jackets at the bottom. Also, always remember to unbutton your jacket when you sit down.
