Let’s face it: Having dark circles is an appearance killer for both men and women. They make you look tired and aged! It is even worse when your job is demanding, not only in terms of your work but also how you present yourself.
If you are in a profession that requires you to work long hours and gives you little or no time to sleep, then you are definitely a victim of “dark circles.” Here’s how you can get rid of them for once and for all:
1. Apply Almond Oil:
Rich in vitamin E, almond oil is an extremely nourishing ingredient. All you have to do is massage the circles under your eyes with almond oil before hitting the sack. Rinse it off properly the next morning.
2. Use Cucumber Slices:
This “cool” vegetable has mild astringent properties and has a rather soothing effect on the skin. Cut a fresh cucumber into thick slices and keep them in fridge for not less than 30 minutes. Then keep the slices under your eyes and rinse that area after 10 minutes.
3. Place Tea Bags:
Known for high antioxidant levels, tea shrinks blood vessels and reduces fluid retention which, in turn, decrease puffiness of the eyes. Make sure you keep the tea bags in the fridge for about half an hour before use. Repeat this exercise 1-2 times per week for a few months.
4. How About Milk?:
If you find the process of procuring other items difficult, make do with cold milk. Soak a ball of cotton in a bowl of cold milk. Place it under the eyes for ten minutes. Repeat this set 2-3 times in a row. Regular use of cold milk will soothe the skin under your eyes.
While home remedies will always provide a solution to a health problem, you should also try to alter your lifestyle. Practicing yoga or doing meditation is one way to do so. Therefore, try to calm your mind, body and soul for long-term results. Meditation decreases stress levels and sleep better.
