A good night’s sleep is essential to health. 7-8 hours of solid sound sleep strengthens the immunity system, boosts the mind mental agility, and instantly freshens up the mood. But what happens if you oversleep or don’t get much enough sleep at all? Does an imbalanced sleep affect your the health? The truth is it does.




Over sleeping has been linked to a host of health issues such as:

1. Obesity:

A recent study revealed that people who slept for 9 to 10 hours every night were 21 per cent more likely to become over weight in a span of six years than the ones who slept for simply 7 to 8 hours. The numbers remain the same even if you take food consumption and exercise for men into account.

Did you know that approximately 15 per cent people with depression tend to sleep a lot? Turns out, proper sleeping habits form an important part of the recovery process. Your chances of elevating the mood go for a toss if you sleep for way too many hours.

Dealing with Suffering from headaches in the mornings? You are definitely sleeping more than you are supposed to! Studies have shown that oversleeping affects certain neurotransmitters in the brain that cause such discomfort. Disease Sleep deprivation may lead to increased blood pressure and heart rate—both of which put strain on the heart. Hit the sack for at least seven 7 hours if you don’t want to encourage inflammation of your heart.
