Accessories That You Need To Embrace This Navratri

Usually, there isn’t much jewellery and accessories men can wear in regular life. That isn’t the case on Dandiya or Garba night though. The festival of Navratri makes room for all kinds of glamour for women as well as men. The Navratri-special accessories add to the glitter and dazzle the festival is so famous for. So do not forget to add these to your seasonal shopping cart. Here are some must-have Navratri accessories for men:

1. Earrings (Baalis) :

You don’t need to have your ears pierced to wear these, as they are available clip versions too. Navratri is one of the few occasions in which men can wear earrings in both ears without looking add, as the Dandiya outfits look really good with them. Choose an earring that suits the shape and size of your face to make a killer impression. You need to show everyone that you’re serious about having fun tonight.

2. Bangles (Kanganas) :

Men’s bangles are slightly larger and thicker than women’s. Make sure to wear multiple pieces in both on each forearm. You can combine different colors as well. The shiny ones are the best for Dandiya night. While dancing, the bangles rubbing against each other create a charming tinkling sound that gets louder as you dance more vigorously. And when many people dance together in synchronization, the sound effect created transports you into a new dimension.

3. Bracelets (Kadas) :

Kadas are similar to bangles, but wider and tighter-fitting. They have a gap on their rim to adjust to the size of your forearm up to an extent. If you aren’t going to wear any bangles, you should certainly wear atleast one of these to look complete on Dandiya night.

4. Necklaces :

These come in a vast variety of sizes, designs and colors, so don’t lose hope if you dislike a few on your shopping trip. Some of the designs on these are very intricate, while some are minimalistic. We recommend wearing a combination of short and long necklaces to really finish the Navratri look. You can even wear chokers if you’re comfortable with them.

5. Rings :

You can wear as many of these as you want, as “less is more” isn’t really a motto for Navratri. You can even go for colorful options rather than just the silver and golden ones which some wear daily.

6. Kolhapuri Chappals :

These are available in light as well as dark colors and of different designs. The light brown or orange ones are the best for Navratri to stand out of the crowd. These chappals go well with any Navratri outfit and you can wear them on other Indian festivals too. Make sure you buy comfortable ones that accommodate your feet well, as you don’t want to get a shoe bite in the middle of your dance.
