The most awaited TV show of the year is finally here and we cannot wait anymore. Based on George R. R. Martin’s best-selling novel, A Song Of Fire and Ice, Game Of Thrones is a fantasy drama television series created by David Beneioff and D. B. Weiss and produced by HBO. Game Of Thrones Season – 8 is all set to premiere on April 17th, 2019 and there is not a single day where there are no speculations about the show and what to expect. HBO’s best till date, GoT has been the most exciting, enthralling and entertaining show appealing to all audiences alike. Statistically, the 79 minutes season finale in 2017 had 16.5 million viewers and smashed all the records set prior. Here is everything we know about the last season so far!
1. Glimpses So Far :
After keeping us waiting for almost a year, HBO finally released the pictures and the trailer of the final season! The picture released shows the entire cast in their roles and has a lot to inform. The trailer received numerous views soon after it was released and has raised much more speculations ever since. The teaser currently has more than 24 million views on YouTube.
2. Premier Date :
Soon after the season finale in 2017, HBO announced that the season 8 will be released in 2019 and all have been desperately waiting for it. Finally, winter is all set to arrive on 14th April, 2019 which is going to make your Sunday even better. HBO has confirmed that all the episodes will be of feature length. However, the show will only have 6 episodes for the final season.
3. The Ending :
HBO has been very smart to prevent any leaks for the final season. They have gone up to the extent that multiple endings were shot to prevent any leaks as the actor themselves would not know what the real ending is. The actors were refrained from any paper scripts and the script was given to them in audio clips. So stay glued to find out who comes out alive in the end and who reigns over the Iron throne.
4. The Longest Battle Ever :
If you think Battle of Bastards was the best battle you ever saw then you are highly mistaken. The final battle between the White Walkers and the human kind took the team 55 nights to shoot outdoor. Afterwards, the shoot was continued inside under effects for another few weeks. Pinter Dinklage who plays Tyrion Lannister said, the season 8 battle makes “The Battle of Bastards look like a walk in the theme park.”
5. Who lives? :
GoT has always been about unexpected deaths. The death of Ned Stark was just the beginning. Throughout the course, we have witnessed some unexpected deaths that have left us awestruck. The final season will be important to see who remains alive after the battle. Although, there are wide speculations that Cersei Lannister might die owing to her evil character. Pinter Dinklage also dropped a hint of Tyrion’s death. Heartbreaking, right?
